COVID-19 Education Working Group Meets to Discuss Legislative Priorities

In preparation for the upcoming session on September 2nd, the House Select Committee on COVID-19 Education Working Group met this morning to hear legislative requests and updates from the state’s education leaders at the N.C. Department of Public Instruction, N.C. Independent Colleges and Universities, N.C. Community College System, and UNC System.

COVID-19 Health Care Working Group Meets

The House Select Committee on COVID-19 Health Care Working Group met today to review policy and funding priorities for the upcoming legislative session that is scheduled to begin on September 2nd. The legislature plans to convene for several days in September, and is expected to return later in the fall once Congress passes another federal relief package.

Legislative Oversight Committees Meet to Discuss COVID-19 Issues and Impact

The Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services and the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Medicaid and N.C. Health Choice met today to receive an update on COVID-19 response from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.
